graphic guaObviously this kind of imagery is designed for appreciation in a culture that does not perceive the frank and graphic representation of the human reproduction organs as inappropriate. The ancient Tainos did not consider this kind of imagery to be indecent or inappropriate. They created countless pieces of art depicting either male or female figures complete with all of their reproductive anatomical parts and many times created objects of art in which only the primary or secondary human reproductive characteristics were the important parts of the art piece.

The important thing to objectively realize in a piece of work such as this is the importance that our ancestors placed in the concept of human fertility and reproduction. And how they chose to depict the beginning of time as an act of divine Love.
