The Behike Leadership Program in the Caney Indigenous Spiritual Circle requires completion of Teaching 1 as a prerequisite, has a duration of 2 years, assigns each participant a mentor for guidance, and admits new candidates in the spring.
During the Caney Behike Leadership Program, participants undergo extensive training to become ceremonial leaders and spiritual guides within the Caney Circle community. The program includes deep study of Taino spirituality, healing practices, ceremonial traditions, and ethical leadership responsibilities.
Participants receive mentorship from experienced Behikes, engage in ritual practice, and commit to serving as moral and spiritual role models. The training balances theoretical knowledge, practical ceremony facilitation, and personal spiritual growth over several years.
