Beike responsibility
The Caney beike is a ceremonial leader, a teacher and a moral and ethical model for the community. She or he should be an example of the highest ideals of the Caney philosophy. She or he should hold the concept of peace, reconciliation, dignity and compassion as the highest priorities. At the same time, this person should make the spiritual health of every member of the community, his or her first and foremost goal.
The Caney beike’s first responsibility is to lead regular ceremonies that reflect the tradition of the Caney and bring healing to the soul of every member of the Caney community.
